FORD Battery Warranty (warranty certificate)
Through this certificate, we guarantee the absence of material or manufacturing defects in the batteries sold in accordance with the standards and parameters provided by the legislation in force and the provisions of this warranty certificate.
The warranty is granted for their average usage duration according to the manufacturers technical specifications but not more than 24 months from the date recorded on the sales invoice.
Also, for product non-conformity, a two-year warranty is granted in accordance with the provisions of Law no.449/2003 regarding the sale of products and the guarantees associated with them. The seller ensures the buyer against non-conformity occurring within 2 years of delivery depending on the products lifespan. In case of non-conformity/product defect, the buyer has the right to request the seller to replace or repair the battery at their option, free of charge, except when this request is impossible or disproportionate.
Also, the battery seller grants a warranty for hidden defects in accordance with the provisions of O.G. no.21/1992 regarding consumer protection for the average usage duration of the products, provided the battery usage conditions are respected. In the case of hidden defects, the term set for remedying the deficiencies starts from the date of completion of the technical expertise carried out by a neutral ethnic body.
This warranty certificate does not affect the buyers rights regarding the mandatory warranty consumer protection legislation provided by Law no.449/2003 regarding the sale of products and the guarantees associated with them and O.G. no.21/1992 regarding consumer protection.
Buyers rights according to Law no.449/2003 regarding the sale of products and the guarantees associated with them:
- The seller is responsible to the consumer for any lack of conformity existing at the time the products were delivered;
- In case of lack of conformity, the buyer has the right to have the products brought into conformity free of charge;
- In case of lack of conformity, the buyer has the right to request the seller to replace or repair the product at their option free of charge, except when the buyers request is impossible or disproportionate.
- In case of lack of conformity, any repair or replacement will be done within a reasonable period of time agreed upon by mutual consent as provided herein;
- In case of lack of conformity, the buyer can request an appropriate price reduction or contract termination if they do not benefit from repair or replacement, if the seller has not taken the remedial measure within a reasonable period of time;
- If the seller has not taken the remedial measure according to the provisions of the law;
- The buyer is not entitled to request contract termination if the lack of conformity is minor;
- The buyer must inform the seller about the lack of conformity within two months from the date they discovered it;
- The lack of conformity occurring within 6 months of delivery is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery except in cases where the presumption is incompatible with the nature of the batteries or the lack of conformity.
1. Storage, transport, and installation conditions
- The batteries are guaranteed as provided above under the conditions of proper operation/use. To ensure proper operation and benefit from the warranty, the following requirements must be met:
- factory-charged batteries with acid and ready for installation can be stored for 6-12 months at a temperature of 10-25C without requiring recharging;
- charged batteries must be transported and stored in an upright position. During transport, the battery must not be damaged or overturned. The battery is factory-protected against short circuits and is equipped with a red cap applied to the positive pole.
